Service

Physical security for Anchorage businesses.

Cameras, door access, and alarm integration on the same modern stack that runs your network. One vendor, one console, one phone number when something needs attention.

Why this is on an MSP's website

Most Anchorage IT shops do not touch physical security. Most physical security firms do not do IT. That gap forces small businesses to coordinate between two vendors who do not talk to each other, on systems that were never designed to live on the same network. We close that gap. The cameras, the door readers, the alarm integration, and the network they all run on come from one shop. The same engineer who designs your VLANs designs your camera coverage. The same person who fixes your email outage fixes your camera offline alert.

What we deploy

  • UniFi Protect surveillance

4K and 4MP cameras for inside and outside use. Properly licensed, properly placed (not just bolted to a ceiling tile near a power outlet), and recorded to a hardened on-site NVR with optional cloud backup. Live view and historical footage from any browser or phone, with role-based access for owners, managers, and staff.

  • UniFi Access door control

Badge readers, mobile-credential unlock, schedule-based access (back office hours different from front-of-house hours), and event logging tied to the same console as your cameras. When a door opens at 2am, the camera at that door is right there in the same timeline.

  • Alarm system integration

For shops with existing alarm panels, we integrate with most modern monitored alarm services so the alarm event correlates with camera footage and door logs. For shops without alarm coverage today, we can advise on the right monitored service for your situation.

  • Cabling and infrastructure

Proper Cat6 runs to camera locations and door readers. PoE switches sized for the load. UPS protection so a brief power blip does not knock out your surveillance. The unglamorous stuff that determines whether the system actually works in two years.

  • Network segmentation that does not break under load

Cameras and door readers go on their own VLAN. They do not compete with the POS network for bandwidth. They do not get a path to the back-office file server. They do not appear on the guest WiFi. The same VLAN-segmentation work we do for IT applies here, just with one more network slice.

A use case from real Alaska businesses

A multi-location coffee roaster wants to know who unlocked the back door on a Sunday morning when the alarm did not arm correctly. With separate IT and physical security vendors, that is three phone calls, two log exports, and a guess. With our stack, you open one console, scrub to that morning, and you have the door log, the camera footage, the alarm event, and the network presence of any device near that door, all on the same timeline. The investigation takes ten minutes instead of three days.

Who this is right for

Most managed IT clients are also good fits for some level of physical security work — at minimum a small camera deployment to cover entrances, registers, and stockrooms. Multi-location retail, restaurants, coffee shops, warehouses, and any business with after-hours operations get the most leverage from the integrated approach. Single-office professional services firms often only need a couple of cameras at the entrance and door access on the suite door, which is still cheaper and faster to install correctly when it is part of the same engagement that runs your network.

What we are not

We are not a 24/7 monitored guard service. We are not a fire panel installer. We are not a residential security company. If you need any of those, we can refer you. What we do is the modern, IP-based, network-integrated physical security work that the same buyer who hires us for IT increasingly expects from one vendor.
