Size and growth, the transaction log, the last successful Verify. Corruption is caught while it is still repairable.

Pending, failed, and half-applied QuickBooks updates on the server, so a 2 a.m. update never becomes a 9 a.m. payroll problem.

Whether last night's backup ran, whether it is the size it should be, and how old the newest good copy is.
